Colonel Neville, a veteran of World War I, was seriously injuried when a dead bird in his tank's cannon
caused an explosion during a practice session. After leaving the field, he worked as a spy for the last
year of the war, capturing many German infiltrates in french territory, with the investigation help of
the chief inspector of Paris, Jacques Louis Barajean.
After the war, Neville bought an old mansion on the
Swiss Alps and transformed it into an exclusive hotel, attended by upper class members from all around the world.
Irrelevant fact: the accident turned Neville's hair color from pitch black to light grey.
